Planet in Peril – Notable Quotes suggesting a Solution
I believe that solving world problems like global warming, species extinction, and even war between nations is not possible without world law, which is not possible without world government.
You may say – we already have “The United Nations”. But that institution is just an assembly of nations… what we need is a world parliament of elected global officials – a truly Democratic World Government, incapable of corruption, to make world laws. Democracy is government through the consent of the governed – and is the emerging stage of political evolution on planet earth.

Remember, the vote count is the main thing that will get the world where it needs to go, so activities should be valued in terms of how much they contribute to this primary goal. In other words, if you want to help make this work, be a vote collector, one way or another.
Planet in Peril? – Let’s try World Law and Democratic World Government
All human conflicts can be worked out through law, and we can live under law globally as easily as we do within our nations, provinces/states and cities.
With a globally enforced peace, we can actually defeat AIDS and poverty, get serious about everyone’s human rights, deal with climate change, encourage freedom and democracy everywhere, and build a truly sustainable future for our planet.
Collective security will cost you far less than financing your nation’s defense against all other countries. Imagine if your city or town had to hire, train and equip a military force in case a nearby city or town invaded! We have “collective security” within our nations; now we need it among all nations.
Problem – Planet in Peril; Solution – Rescue Plan for Planet Earth
With all the global problems we are facing (war, terrorism, global warming, etc.), we need a solution to our Planet in Peril. If left up to the current political structure of nation states and the United Nations Security Council and the General Assembly, we are not going to get our solution. The only realistic political solution would be a democratic world government. This will sound “far fetched” to some of you, but it is imperative that we start moving in the direction of global governance through elected representatives. For this to happen, we first need a global referendum, so that we will not be setting up a political system which humanity does not want. The referendum is being carried out right now at the website on the 2nd tab above. We are asking people to vote “yes” or “no” to this question: “Do you support the creation of a directly-elected, representative and democratic world government?”
